Prince Harry Confesses His Heartfelt Wish for Archie as He Grows Up

Prince Harry has confessed his desire for his son Archie as the young royal grows older, a close family friend has confirmed.

Meghan and Harry are known to be close with Dr. Jane Goodall, a renowned British primatologist and anthropologist.

Having spent some time with the family of three already, the 85-year-old has now opened up about one of the Prince’s heartbreaking confessions about life as a royal.

In an interview with BBC Radio 4, Jane spoke about how Harry had “felt constrained” and that he desperately wanted Archie to “grow up away from all the pomp and royalty.”

In saying that, Jane admitted that she had no idea that Harry and Meghan would go to the measures that they have in order to step back from the gaze of media and the pressures of royalty.

“I haven’t really followed the news,” Jane admitted.”I had no idea that anything like this was going to happen.”

The primatologist is known to be close with Harry, having taken part in an informative one-on-one discussion about the climate that was published in Meghan Markle’s September edit of British Vogue.

“I just think he’s a wonderful, wonderful person and we had a great interview,” Jane said of the Prince.

Earlier this month, the Palace confirmed Meghan and Harry would no longer use their HRH titles as they stepped back from royal life. The Buckingham Palace statement also explained: “They will no longer receive public funds for Royal duties. With The Queen’s blessing, Prince Harry and Meghan will continue to maintain their private patronages and associations.”

“While they can no longer formally represent The Queen, Harry and Meghan have made clear that everything they do will continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty.”

It’s understood Meghan and Harry will now forge ahead with their new life living between the UK and North America. Earlier this week, Harry tied up loose ends in London before heading to Canada to be with his wife and son.

But before he went, he gave a heartbreaking speech at a private dinner, telling the audience: “It brings me great sadness that it has come to this.””The decision I have made for my wife and I to step back is not one I made lightly… Our hope was to continue serving the Queen, the Commonwealth, and my military associations, but without public funding. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible.”
