The Adorable Back-Story Behind Prince Louis’ First Words

Tags:

Prince Louis is only one, but he’s still got a good grasp on Britain’s most iconic TV personalities.

In a glorious new clip from Kate Middleton’s BBC special with famed British baker Mary Berry, the 37-year-old royal revealed an insight about her young son’s first words that’s sent us into meltdown.

In the upcoming special, A Berry Royal Christmas, Kate and William are set to don their aprons and cook up some seriously good grub with the Great British Bake Off queen, Mary Berry.

Announced by Kensington Palace earlier this month, it was revealed the pair would join Berry, along with some “very special guests.”

The show will see them “host a Christmas Party to thank and acknowledge staff and volunteers from charities and organizations who will be working tirelessly over the Christmas period.”

While the show itself doesn’t air until December 16 in the UK, the Daily Mail reports that the TV special will include a beautiful insight about Prince Louis.

During the program, Kate reportedly tells Mary, “One of Louis’ first words was ‘Mary’, because right at his height are all my cooking books in the kitchen bookshelf.”

She added that Louis knows Berry so well in fact that he wold “definitely” recognize her.

Explaining how kids are so fascinated by faces, she told the British legend: “Your faces are all over your cooking books and he would say ‘That’s Mary Berry’ … so he would definitely recognize you if he saw you today.”

Too cute!

The Christmas special will be a royal first for Kate and Wills, who reportedly asked Berry herself if she would be keen to collaborate.

Speaking to Mail on Sunday, Berry said she was “so impressed” with the royal couple.

“It was just lovely observing them for those three days. When they are together, he’s constantly touching her arm and looking over at her smiling and she’s the same with him,” Berry said.

“It was very sweet to see because it was so natural.”

Berry added that it was abundantly clear that Wills was “very proud” of his wife.

“He was keen to stress to me how none of his mental health charities would be what they were without Catherine.”

We’ll just be over here eagerly awaiting to watch the Christmas special in full!
