6 Women Showed Up to a Wedding Wearing the Exact Same Dress

While it sounds like the setup for a hilarious punchline, wedding attendees must have felt like they weren’t in on the joke when they noticed six women wearing the same dress. The coincidence seems even more unbelievable when you realize that these women weren’t the bridesmaids either.

Wearing the same outfit as someone else is generally considered a fashion no-no, but we can’t help but cheer for these ladies after a photo of all six women posing happily with the bride began making rounds on the internet. To add to the absurdity of the situation, some of the women didn’t even know each other! Three were from the bride’s side and three were from the groom’s, according to Debbie Speranza, one of the women in the photo, who shared the now-viral photo on the Facebook page of Forever New, the clothing company that sold the dress.

“My cousin and I walked into the reception and saw each other [in the same dress] and started laughing, but then another walked in … then another one … and another one.” she told the British paper The Telegraph.

“A couple of the women were a little bit ‘ahhhhh’ but then we all saw the fun in it. There’s a video of us telling the bridesmaids ‘OK, if you girls stuff up, we are ready.’ We were like accidental sisters.”

Julia Mammone, the bride, fortunately, was “not at all” upset at possibly being upstaged when Speranza apologized for the situation.

The dress, which is called the Debbie Lace Pencil Dress, retails for $159.99. If the style is totally up your alley, we have good news: Forever New ships internationally, and the dress is also available in a light blue color. It truly is a pretty frock, so we can see why six women all said yes to the dress!
