Her Cute Nurse Costume Isn’t for Halloween—It’s for a MUCH Better Reason

While this photo features a young girl in an amazing costume–one that any kid would be proud to wear on Halloween–turns out, her adorable look has nothing to do with the upcoming holiday.

Four-year-old Angel has been a patient at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in England for a long time, due to her treatments for polycystic kidney disease. When her school recently held a “Hero Day” and asked kids to dress up as their favorite hero, Angel knew just who she wanted to honor as the main hero in her young life: her caring nurses.

“Heroes come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and uniforms,” the hospital wrote in its Facebook post about Angel’s surprising costume choice.

Not sure about you, but we’re so glad Angel knows the true meaning of heroics at such a young age.
