Lindsay Pualoa’s week wasn’t going as expected. With a son who was feeling under the weather and a little bug herself, Pualoa wasn’t sure she should keep her appointment with her HVAC company. By the next morning, neither she nor her son was feeling better, so she called to cancel her appointment and then settled in to take care of her little one. A few hours later, she received a package from her furnace company — and it’s a perfect reminder of how much the little things in life can mean.
“He was still a hot mess (in the) morning so I cancelled an annual furnace check I had scheduled with our HVAC company,” Pualoa wrote on Facebook. “I just apologized for the late notice, said I had a sick kid at home, and didn’t think much more about it. Three hours later, my doorbell rings and there is a florist at my door. The (HVAC) company sent flowers with a note saying they hoped our child was feeling better soon. I’m floored! I’ve never had something like this happen before.”

Doesn’t that just warm your heart? Talk about going above and beyond! Most companies would be none to happy to receive a last-minute cancellation — some might even charge you! — but not AllTech Services in Sterling, Virginia. Considering all the stellar reviews on their Facebook and Yelp pages, it sounds like Pualoa isn’t the only happy AllTech customer. “Our AC unit decided to stop working and with a 6-day-old newborn, not something you look forward to!” one woman wrote on their Facebook page. “[Ed] was very professional, diagnosed the unit quickly. Him [sic] and the office worked their magic and were able to get us the new part quicker than we imagined!”
