Graduation Ceremony for Tiny NICU Babies Is Sweeter than Sweet and the Only Graduation We Want to Attend

Few things in the world are more precious or fragile than teeny-tiny premature babies fighting to get stronger. Happily, after weeks or even months of dedicated care from hospital staff and endless prayers from loved ones, many of these babies eventually get to leave the NICU and head home to enjoy life with their families.

So just as we congratulate and honor our sons and daughters when they graduate from high school or college, shouldn’t we also cheer on these warrior babies after they “graduate” from the NICU?

One hospital, at least, is saying yes. CaroMount Regional Medical Center North Carolina is acknowledging the fighter spirit in these little tots and by giving them the proper sendoff: their own adorable graduation ceremonies, complete with a graduation cap. Traditional graduations can be long, drawn out affairs, especially if your last name comes at the end of the alphabet, but we’d say this is a ceremony anyone and everyone can get behind!

Watch the video below to see the adorable graduation caps these happy, healthy babies are sporting.

How cute are those little caps? We can just imagine these tiny tots moving their tassel before tossing it in the air. These families will no doubt treasure these photos forever. So sweet! We could watch this all day.
