Tattoo Person or Not, You’ll Love the Story Behind Why These Parents Are Getting Inked

Tattoos in honor of loved ones are common–but how about a tattoo that’s actually drawn by a loved one?

On a recent episode of the reality TV show “Ink Masters,” which pits talented tattoo artists against each other to compete in various challenges, contestants were asked to create tattoos designed by a very special group of artists: seven people with Down syndrome.

Those seven people drew original artwork to be used as tattoos for their loved ones (mostly parents or siblings). It was the contestants’ job to help those young artists create workable designs, and of course to do the actual tattooing.

By the end of the episode, it was clear how talented these contestants are and how seriously they take their profession: The families were in love with their unique, meaningful tattoos, and emotions were running high all around.

People are calling this the best episode ever of “Ink Masters”–what do you think?
