She Found Her Lost Engagement Ring on a Growing Carrot

Her engagement ring was found with one extra carrot — and no, that’s not a typo! Canadian woman Mary Grams lost her engagement ring all the way back in 2004 in a garden of her family’s farm.

“I crawled around on the floor and didn’t find it for days, so finally I went to the jeweler and bought another ring,” the 84-year-old said.

But sure enough, 13 years later, Mary’s daughter-in-law found the beloved piece of jewelry — around none other than a growing carrot!

“I was wondering if she was stringing me or if it was really true,” Mary said. “My granddaughter brought it [to] me yesterday and the first thing I said was, ‘Oh yes, that’s it.’”

Even better news? After the carrot was cut away from the ring, Mary found out that it actually still fit her ring finger.

“I have big knuckles,” she said. “So I hope to never lose it again. But I’m not going to go outside in the garden with it again. I can’t figure out for the life of me why I did that.”

Sadly, her husband passed away five years ago, so he is no longer here to appreciate the joy of her find. But the rest of Mary’s family couldn’t be happier to bask in the glory of the news.

“Everyone is laughing and can’t believe this actually happened,” she said.

Well, we’re so glad it did!
