The actress frequently posts her tips with the hashtag #FitnessFriday and recently focused on how she maintains her core strength. “What I’ve learned throughout my training this past year is that a strong core supports EVERY other part of your body,” she wrote on December 7, “and if you’re performing exercises correctly, you’re always engaging your core — now that’s win/win!”
Halle then shared videos on her long-running Instagram story with examples like bear crawls, lateral hops, and hanging techniques. Earlier this year, she also revealed another “secret weapon” for defying her age and looking so young: bone broth. Although she admits it might sound “nasty” to some, the collagen and minerals provided by simmering cow, lamb, or chicken bones (all humanely raised) for at least eight hours can help maintain healthy joints, bones, ligaments and tendons, and skin. The actress also claims it can aid in digestion, inflammation, and maintaining overall gut health.
“I like to slow cook my bones in my Crock-Pot for 24 hours,” she wrote, adding, “I promise you, it’s not bad at all and drinking bone broth will slow down your inevitable race to the finish line!” Halle seasons her broth with salt, pepper, and crushed garlic, but it can be taken plain if you prefer. Whichever way you go, there’s no denying how great Halle’s skin looks, so it might be worth a shot to follow her lead!
