Teenagers can sometimes get a bad rap for being sullen, rude, and even downright selfish. That's why when stories of young people performing thoughtful, selfless acts make the rounds, we always savor the moment--and share the tale with you.
The young man in this video is clearly a huge Red Sox fan, sitting in the front row at Fenway Park with what looks like a group friends and taking in a game of the home team versus the Baltimore Orioles. When a foul ball comes his way, courtesy of the game's ball girl, the teen looks momentarily thrilled.
But seconds later--after turning to an older gentleman seated behind him, who utters a quick word to him--the boy gets up and quickly does something quite remarkable. Just watch.
So I came across this video while browsing the interwebs, and I immediately thought to myself "what a nice young man". It's from the 25th of July (or July 25th, if you like), and I haven't seen this here yet, but that doesn't mean it can't be a repost. If it is a repost, I apologize! I will of course sacrifice myself, by throwing my disgusting horrible reposting body into the great lava pit of reposts, as is required by the repost law.
