Martha Stewart’s Hack for Removing Stuck-On Stickers Will Blow Your Mind

Martha Stewart is the queen of all things do-it-yourself. Whether it’s whipping up the perfect recipe or creating the most amazing DIY home crafts, Martha is our go-to when it comes to the home. The lifestyle kitchen master is known for her big ol’ bag of tricks, but there’s one she shared with us that really has blown us away — and it’s got to do with those annoying, stuck-on price tags.

If you’re like us, nothing pleases you more than a new kitchen staple or appliance. However, when it comes to removing the pesky, sticky price tag on your new pots or tableware, things can be a bit tricky. But luckily, Taking to Instagram, Martha let us in on her top secret for removing stickers from new items. And apparently, the only thing you need to do it is already in your house — a blowdryer!

In the video, Martha is shown holding a pan that appears to be stainless steel. The pan has a white barcode sticker stuck on the inside surface of it and Martha simply uses the blowdryer to apply hot air to the sticker. She holds the dryer about a half inch away from the offending sticker and heats it for less than 30 seconds. Then she peels it right off with ease. According to her, the heat from the styling tool helps to lift the sticky adhesive for easy removal. And as she says herself, this trick can work for stickers on “metal, glass, wood, stone, anything!” Check out the video here.

As someone who’s dealt with staring at the sticker residue on a new blender for much longer than I would have liked to, I can tell you that we all wish we’d known Martha’s hack sooner. We hope it helps you, too!
