Jackie Kennedy Made Motherhood Look Easy

Tags:

On numerous occasions, the beloved Jackie Kennedy was styled to perfection, but it’s the parenting lessons she taught not only her children but also the world that are an honor to the Kennedy name. Even though Jackie is no longer with us, her daughter Caroline carries on the love and warmth her mother exuded during her life.

“The children have been a wonderful gift to me, and I’m thankful to have once again seen our world through their eyes. They restore my faith in the family’s future,” Jackie once said about her brood.

In 1956, Jackie tragically gave birth to a stillborn named Arabella. A year later, at 28 years old, she had her daughter Caroline via C-section. In 1960, just weeks after her husband captured the presidency, she had her son, John F. Kennedy Jr., also via C-section. Her last child, Patrick, sadly lived for only two days before he died in 1963.

So even though there were a few hitches during Jackie’s motherhood, there was never a doubt that she loved her children.

“I feel so fortunate to have had such [a] great role model…as a mother and a woman,” Caroline said. And we couldn’t agree more!
