Beloved Hollywood actress Judy Garland belongs somewhere near the top of the list of stars who left us too soon. Best known for her iconic role as Dorothy in the movie adaptation of L. Frank Baum's The Wizard of Oz, Garland lived a very interesting life.
As we approach almost five decades without her, her children—Liza, Lorna, and Joseph—lovingly maintain their mother's memory. And even though it's been some time since her name has been in the headlines, it was amazing to see the support that poured out when her body was moved for a sweet reason in January of this year.
This year would have been her 95th birthday, and it's intriguing to imagine what life would be like if she were still with us. Who knows? Perhaps she would have gone on to find great success—perhaps something rivaling that which occurred after The Wizard of Oz was released—later in her life. Or maybe she would have gotten the help she needed and retired quietly. Either way, we'd prefer to remember her as the bright-eyed, angelic songstress she was in her early days.
