If you're looking for part-time work during the holiday season, Macy's just might have the perfect opportunity for you. The department store announced that it's hiring 7,000 more seasonal workers during the holidays all over the country.

Open positions are available for associates who will work the sales floor, fulfill online and pick-up-in-store orders, and complete other operational tasks. Most of these jobs are part-time, and pay for each position varies by state. These new jobs have been announced in addition to the 80,000 temporary jobs that Macy's said would be open for the holidays during the fall.

"Macy's has had a great start to this holiday season with high customer volume across our business," said John Harper, Macy's chief store officer, in a statement to the Associated Press. "We are excited to be further expanding our seasonal workforce."

This is definitely encouraging news for Macy's, especially considering that the store announced at the beginning of 2017 that it would be shutting down many of its stores. It's great to hear that business is picking up for them, especially with the many struggles that department stores in general have been facing in recent years. And of course, it's good news for anyone who wants to get paid to help spread holiday cheer to shoppers.

If you or anyone else you know is interested in taking up a position like this, you can head over to Macy's Jobs to apply. But you better hurry — the holidays are soon approaching and it's only a matter of time before all these positions are filled.

Good luck if you apply!
