Meghan Markle is officially a member of the British monarchy, but she's also cemented her status as bona fide fashion royalty. Every time she steps out, she wows us with her style. In fact, she's dazzled us with so many eye-catching outfits (her Givenchy wedding gown will always be one of our favorite royal wedding dresses) that she's actually distracted us all from one minor fashion faux pas: Her shoes don't fit.
If you've ever looked at Meghan Markle's shoes very closely, you'll notice that they're a bit too big. But according to fashion expert Harriet Davey, Meghan's choice of oversized footwear is actually quite smart. "Celebs often go a size up, or even two, in the shoe department when they're at an event or on the red carpet and it's for one reason we can all relate to — to avoid blisters," Davey told The Sun. "There's nothing worse than uncomfortable shoes (we've all been there on a night out) and when celebs like Meghan are wearing heels for a long period of time their feet can often swell up. The swelling can cause blisters and in the long run bunions — like long-time heel fan Victoria Beckham has been rumored to suffer with."

So how does Meghan Markle manage to keep her feet in her shoes? "A trick of the trade is to stuff the toe with padding like tissue or cotton, and this can be taken out once they feel like they need a bit more room in their shoes," Davey revealed.
We can only imagine how swollen and sore her feet must be after a long day in heels, so it totally makes sense that she would opt for a bigger size. We're filing this away under fashion hacks to try!
