What’s better than a freebie?
Free video-streaming trials? Tried ’em all. Free Costco food samples? There every weekend. Free makeup testers? Awesome for traveling. Free Target gift card? On my way!
There’s something thrilling about a good freebie. No, we’re not talking about random pens, stickers and keychains. We’re talking about legitimate freebies — ones that are actually useful and enjoyable.
That’s why we searched the internet high and low to find the best internet freebies. You’ll find a little bit of everything, from ice cream and bagels to gift cards and cash.
We write about products we think our readers will like. If you buy them, we get a small share of the revenue from the supplier.
1. Free Pizza
I mean, what’s better than pizza? FREE PIZZA!
If you’re a Domino’s fan, create a Domino’s Piece of The Pie Rewards account, and start ordering your pizza through the account. You’ll earn points on each order that’ll go toward your free pizza. Collect 60 points, and you’ve got yourself a free pizza.
2. Free Credit Score
OK, OK. This isn’t as exciting as free pizza, but look: Your credit score is important when it comes to your big life purchases, so it’s time to give it some love by taking a look at your credit score.
Here’s the thing, though: You should never pay to see your credit score. Instead, use a free site like Credit Sesame. In about 90 seconds, you’ll be looking at that three-digit number in all its glory. But if it’s not as good as you’d like, Credit Sesame will give you recommendations on how to improve it.
3. Free Samples of Literally Anything
Have you ever paid $5 for a mystery grab bag? There’s something so thrilling about opening it up to see what’s inside.
If you’re a fan, you can make this happen every month with an online program called PINCHme. When you sign up to be a Pincher, you’ll get a free box of samples each month. The box could have anything from cookies and salad dressing to shampoo and chapstick.
In exchange, you’ll write up a quick review of the new products you try.
4. Free Cash From Your Online Orders
When’s the last time you bought something online, only to notice a few days later the price has dropped? But returning the item and buying it again is out of the question. And calling up customer service to ask for a refund is just a pain.
But that’s where Paribus helps. It gets you money back for your online purchases when their prices drop.
It’s free to sign up, and once you do, it will scan your email for any receipts. If it discovers you’ve purchased something from one of its monitored retailers, it will track the item’s price and help you get a refund when there’s a price drop.
Plus, if your guaranteed shipment shows up late, Paribus will help you get compensated.
Disclosure: Paribus compensates us when you sign up using the links we provide.
5. Free Visa Gift Cards
Who doesn’t love a free gift card? It’s basically free money!
So where can you find free gift cards that are actually legitimate? We like an app called Fetch Rewards because it’s so effortless.
Just download the app, take photos of your grocery receipts (all stores qualify!) and earn points. Exchange those points for free Visa gift cards.
Oh, and don’t forget: After you download the app, enter code PENNY, and you’ll get a free 2,000 points after you scan your first receipt.
6. Free Ice Cream
You’re a very special person with some kind of willpower if you can pass up free ice cream. We definitely can’t. So if you’re a fan of Marble Slab Creamery, download its Slab Happy Rewards app.
Sign up and make your first purchase, and you’ll get a free $5 for your next ice cream. Then you’ll collect one point for every dollar you spend. Hit 50 points, and you’ll get another $5 off.
Oh, and don’t forget to share your birthday in the app, too. You could snag a surprise birthday freebie, too!
7. Free $20 (Seriously!)
Listen, grocery shopping isn’t always fun, but a free $20 could help, right?
Use the cash-back app Ibotta, and you’ll earn cash bonuses when you buy certain items. We’ve seen anything from Shiner Bock beer to ketchup to laundry detergent to cereal.
Plus, when you sign up, you’ll become eligible for a $20 bonus. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Download the Ibotta app.
- Create an account.
- Shop, add photos of your grocery receipts.
- Redeem 10 offers within 14 days, and you’ll get that $20 bonus.
You can cash out via PayPal or Venmo as soon as you get $20 in your account. Use that extra cash on your next grocery haul or treat yourself to something special!
8. Free Scratch-off Tickets
It’s always so tempting to grab a couple of scratch-offs from the gas station or as you’re leaving the grocery store, but you know it’s not the best use of your hard-earned money, so you resist.
Well, now you don’t have to worry about that, because an app called Lucktastic gets you free scratch-offs.
Every day, it releases a new assortment of digital scratch-off tickets. Lucktastic says instant wins range from $1 to $10,000. You can also earn tokens, enter contests and play games.
9. Free Caribou Coffee
Addicted to coffee? Aren’t we all.
The good news is, you can get a free coffee when you become a Caribou Perks member. Create an account, and you’ll get a free beverage after you make your first purchase!
10. Free $5 in Stocks
Many of us just want our money to take care of itself, especially when it comes to investing. Well, now it can when you open an investment account through Acorns.
You can start small and stack up change over time with its “round-up” feature. That means if you spend $10.23 at the grocery store, 77 cents gets dropped into your Acorns account.
Then, the app does the whole investing thing for you — and you’ll get a $5 bonus when you sign up. We suggest investing it!
11. Free Baby Shoes
Got a little one toddling around you as you read this?
Little Wanderers, an online independent retailer, stocks adorable footgear — and you can snag a pair for free by using our code PENNY1. Choose from some fringe boots or a pair of high-top sneaks. There are even some miniature snow boots with fur. Adorable.
12. Free Baby Leggings
If you have a little one, you know how easy it is to dress them in a pair of comfy baby leggings and call it a day.
And another pair. (Seriously, does the washer eat them?) Don’t worry, though, just head over to BabyLeggings.com and throw a pair in your cart. At checkout, just use the code “PENNY1,” and you’ll only have to pay for shipping.
13. Free Pancakes
Breakfast for dinner, anyone?
Sign up for MyHop (that’s IHOP’s loyalty program) to get a free stack of pancakes. Once you create your account, you’ll get an email with your coupon.
A few tips: Be patient for the email; we received it several hours after signing up. Also take note of the expiration date, which was two weeks out for us.
14. Free Makeup Samples
You know how expensive makeup is. And if you want to try a new brand, you know how terrifying it is to buy a full-sized item. What if it doesn’t match your skin tone? What if it makes your skin break out? That’s why free samples are nice.
Everyday Minerals is giving away a custom makeup kit — yup, you choose your own shades and colors. Just head over to its site, choose your preferences and order. And if you’re not into the kit, you can always opt for free eyeshadow samples!
15. Free Grocery Coupons
Before your next grocery haul, get some free Betty Crocker coupons.
Before you ask, no, these aren’t just coupons for cake and brownie mixes. You’ll also find coupons for cereal, cleaning supplies, yogurt, baby food — you name it.
When we checked, Better Crocker was offering 45 coupons worth up to $55.90 in savings. Opt to email them to yourself or print them.
16. Free Deep-Dish Cookie
BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse has some good food, but the highlight (in our opinion) is that giant warm cookie served up in a deep dish and topped with melting ice cream… It’s called a Pizookie, and it’s probably the most amazing thing in this world.
Luckily, you can get a free one when you sign up for BJ’s rewards program. You’ll also earn a point for every dollar you spend. Once you hit 100 points, you’ll get a $10 reward. Oh, and don’t forget to snag another free Pizookie on your birthday, too!
17. Free Printed Photos
Hey, Instagram isn’t going to live forever. Too many of us preserve our memories on our phones, but why not print out some photos to finally fill those empty frames? Or to gift to a family member or friend?
If you want to print some of your phone photos, you can do so for free with Free Prints. Each month you get up to 85 free 4”-by-6” photos, which will get delivered straight to your door.
18. Free Baby Stuff
If you’re expecting, create a Target baby registry where you can get more than $100 in free baby stuff. And keep this in mind: You can get any items remaining on your registry for 15% off when you’re less than eight weeks from your due date.
19. Free Bagel and Shmear
Are you a member of the Shmear Society? Yeah, it’s funny to say, but Einstein Bros. Bagels has a pretty great rewards program. When you sign up, you’ll get a free bagel and shmear (or cream cheese). Plus, you’ll start earning points — two points for every $1 — good for more freebies.
