We don't blame you for wondering about Nicole Kidman's skincare routine. After all, the actress looks pretty darn good for 51. Of course, you would think her ageless skin is the result of expensive serums and treatments, but Kidman actually credits a drugstore aging cream for keeping her skin looking fresh.
"Neutrogena's Rapid Wrinkle Repair Cream ($22.49, Amazon) won't cause you to break out or cause you to get a rash. A lot of times, [wrinkle creams] can be too strong for my skin. It's a really great cream, and I give it to my friends of many different ages. And they're coming to me now saying, 'I need more,'" Kidman revealed to Allure. "It really does seem to make your skin supple and smooth. I'm getting on a plane tomorrow, and that's what I'll be using. I use it at night. You can use it for a week, and you can see something."
The reason Neutrogena's Rapid Wrinkle Repair Cream works so well is because of the accelerated retinol SA (the SA stands for "sustained action"), which is a mixture of retinol SA, a glucose complex, and hyaluronic acid. Retinol is a topical form of vitamin A, and it keeps skin looking young by bringing new cells to the surface so everything looks smooth. And retinol's benefits don't end there: It also evens out skin tone and gets rid of free radicals before they cause wrinkles and other signs of aging. Hyaluronic acid traps in moisture, keeping the skin looking plump.
This cream has garnered rave reviews online from the beauty community, so it seems Kidman is not the only fan. "Neutrogena products are wonderful. At 66, many folks say I look 40," a woman named Barbara wrote on Amazon. "Wow. Here's to another 66 years of Neutrogena!" Another user wrote, "Results noticeable in about thee days at least for a short time after applying. At 76 I've tried several other anti-aging creams and this is so far the best."
And to be hones, we wouldn't mind looking like Nicole Kidman at all!
