It's the most wonderful time of the year thanks to PetSmart's free photos with Santa. We're guessing your fur babies are dreaming of someting special under the Christmas tree — and here's their chance to let Santa know what good boys and girls they've been.
Mark your calendars for December 15 and 16 from noon to 4 p.m. local time, because that's when Santa's stopping at PetSmart to pose for pictures. As long as your animal fits within PetSmart's in-store pet policy, then you're good to go — no matter how big or small they are. All animals must be on a leash or safely confined (yes, snakes and other reptiles are permitted to sit with Santa) and be up to date on their vaccinations. Below is a list of pets that are OK:
- Domestic dogs and cats
- Small animals and reptiles that are sold at PetSmart
- Non-venomous reptiles
- Pot-bellied pigs
- Sugar gliders
If your pet isn't on this list, he or she is considered a nontraditional animal. Only nontraditional animals that are service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act or other local laws will be allowed to enter.
You can check the company's store locator to find the nearest PetSmart location. There are more than 1,600 stores in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, so you should have no trouble finding the one close to you.
People on Facebook are sharing photos of their pets meeting Santa in the comment section of PetSmart's announcement about the event and our hearts are melting. Some furry friends even got to meet Santa "Paws."
PetSmart held the same event earlier this month on December 9, so we're guessing it'll be busy this weekend because of all the people who missed out the first time. There will probably be a line to see Santa, so we recommend getting there a bit early. You could even spend a few extra minutes in the store picking out the perfect Christmas gift for your dog to hide under the tree.
