Pink candy hearts are cute and all, but nothing satisfies our tastebuds quite like chocolate on Valentine's Day. While we're more than happy with the classic flavors of milk, dark, and white chocolate, we have to say we're completely thrilled about the grand debut of the new "ruby" chocolate pink Kit Kats. Can you think of a more appropriate time for pink Kit Kats to arrive? We sure can't!
Ruby chocolate, which was invented by Swiss chocolatier Barry Callebaut last year, gets its name from the ruby cocoa bean used to create it. Its fresh berry flavor and natural pink coloring makes it sound like one of the most promising treats we've ever heard of — in terms of both taste and aesthetics. A true "pretty in pink" win-win!

Believe it or not, there's no artificial food coloring at work here with ruby chocolate, making it a true game-changer among other flavored chocolate sweets out there. Kit Kat enthusiasts all over will be even more pleased to know that these pink goodies are the first products to be sold using that type of chocolate.
The only downside is that you can only buy them in stores in Japan and South Korea at the moment — and that's a long way for many of us to travel. But fear not; you'll be able to order them for yourself and all your loved ones online in early February. All you have to do is register your email, and Nestlé Japan will let you know ASAP when people in the U.S. will be able to get their hands on these sweet, sweet treats.
We can't wait to fall in chocolate — oops, we mean "love" — with these on Valentine's Day!
