Pyrex Is Re-Releasing a Vintage Design That Sells for More Than $4,000 on eBay

Tags:

Pyrex fans, listen up: The rare Pyrex “Lucky in Love” pattern is coming back for a limited time. Yes, that Pyrex pattern from 1959, which has since become a collector’s favorite.

Often called “the holy grail of Pyrex,” this beloved casserole dish decorated with hearts and clovers has been known to sell for some seriously big bucks online. How big? Well, one piece of the prized cookware sold on eBay in 2015 for more than $4,000. But considering that selling vintage Pyrex has been a gold mine for so many people in recent years, we suppose we shouldn’t be surprised that such a sought-after piece rakes in the dough (both literally and figuratively!).

I don't collect Pyrex, but my interest was piqued when this eBay auction was posted on IG the other day …. So I decided to go follow the eBay USA listing to see what the mythical Holy Grail of Pyrex "Lucky in Love" would sell for…. $5467 AUD!!! 😱😜 MY GAWD!!! Here's hoping we are all LUCKY enough to find one of these, just like the very lucky eBay seller was! Apparently she bought this at a jumble sale and thought it was worth $30 to $40 USD… Wow! #pyrexluckyinlove #pyrexlove #pyrex ❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀❤️🍀

If you adore the pattern — or buying and selling collector’s items in general — you might be pleased to know that you can get the new version of the Pyrex Lucky in Love for much cheaper than what that one (very enthusiastic) eBay buyer paid for it. This March, Pyrex is selling the new Forever Lucky pattern at Target stores and online at Macy’s and Pyrexware.com. The new collection features clear glass storage dishes in both round and rectangular shapes and in a variety of sizes, ranging in prices from $4 to $12.

“The most distinct feature of the pattern has been its rarity and uplifting, fresh design,” Pyrex said in a statement to CountryLiving.com. “The classic hearts-and-shamrocks pattern is the same, but now relaunched to reach a new generation of home cooks through a variety of food storage dish sizes with lids.”

Considering this collection is set to debut in March, we can’t be the only ones thinking that this is the perfect way to treat ourselves for St. Patrick’s Day. Talk about a lucky find!
