Red Lobster Has Released a Brand-New Menu and We’ll Take One of Everything

Tags:

You might notice some new yummy smells the next time you walk past your local Red Lobster. The seafood chain just announced the launch of its whole new menu, which features tasting plates and globally-inspired entrées — and we to eat all of it right now.

Red Lobster’s new menu items are designed to give guests a way to enjoy new tasty fish dishes while still giving them the option of digging into classic dishes the restaurant is known for. (Cheddar Bay biscuits, anyone?)

The tasting plates, as you might expect, are small in size but big in flavor. One tempting new dish is the Yucatan Shrimp, which consists of two jumbo shrimp roasted in chili-lime butter with caramelized pineapple and fresh jalapeños. (Don’t mind us, we’re just sitting over here drooling all over ourselves.) Another mouth-watering plate is the Loaded Seaside Fries, which includes seasoned fries loaded with Monterey Jack cheese, clam strips, and creamy clam chowder, topped off with some green onions.

More tasting plate items include a Petite Red Lobster Roll, Shrimp Potstickers, and Dragon Broccoli, which all sound equally scrumptious. The best part? The small plates are available for an average price of $4.99.

If you thought the small plates sounded too good to be true, just wait until you see the new entrées! The Dragon Shrimp — described as crispy shrimp tossed in spicy dragon sauce — is definitely going to be one of our new favorites. But you can’t go wrong with the other entrée options, which include Southwest-Style Tacos and Pub-Style Fish and Chips. Priced from $10.49 to $16.99, these are some pretty sweet (and delicious!) deals.

“Red Lobster is known as a destination for special occasions and for our seafood events — like Lobsterfest and Endless Shrimp — and we want our guests to continue to come to us for those,” Red Lobster President Salli Setta said in a press release. “As we talked to our guests, we also heard that they want to eat seafood with us more often for other occasions and in different ways. We are excited about this new menu because it gives our guests new ways to enjoy seafood for more occasions and explore different flavors at an affordable price.”

It’s comforting to know that our old favorites at Red Lobster are here to stay, but we’re even more excited about the chance to discover and devour new favorites!

But first: Bring on the biscuits!
