Flustered Mom Spills Baby’s Bottle All Over Olive Garden, Brazen Server Can’t Stay Out of It

Tags:

Every mom knows what it’s like to feel flustered and exhausted when out in public with a baby. It can be embarrassing and stressful–especially if you’ve got a watchful group of employees or strangers making you feel even worse about your mothering skills.

But then there are the helpful strangers, the ones who step in when they see a need and make the mom feel more calm, relaxed, and accepted. This is one of those heartwarming tales: One grateful mom shared her good experience on social media, and we can’t help but pass it on.

“I was really out of it (and probably the lack of sleep this past month) but we went to Olive Garden in Little Rock after Ellee’s tests at Children’s Hospital,” wrote the mom in a now-viral post. “She was starving and I was trying to make a bottle and spilled it all over me and the floor.”

We can imagine this poor young mom’s embarrassment–but what happened next made everything SO much better.

“I made another bottle, and our waiter… had brought our salad and bread sticks and said, ‘Here, let me feed her and you eat,'” she wrote. “He fed her I ate my salad and bread sticks and that milk on the floor got cleaned up after we left because he just understood.”

We love that this kind young man sensed what was most important–that the mom calmed down, and that the hungry baby got fed–in that chaotic moment, and that he let other things, like the mess on the floor and his other pressing duties, wait. Talk about having the right priorities–and giving AWESOME service.

“This melted all of us and this is what we need more of! He didn’t even know what we had went through that day and showed us love and understanding; not irritated that I had made a mess and my baby was screaming,” the mom added. “Gosh, I wish I got his name because he deserves the recognition.”

We’re so happy to help him get it. Spread the love!
