TV’s Second Longest-Running Game Show Made a MAJOR Change Yesterday

Tags:

Part of the reason viewers love those classic TV game shows–The Price Is Right, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune–is that while nearly everything in the else in life seems to change over time, those shows manage to keep their beloved, well-known features feeling familiar. After all, who doesn’t love tradition?

Well, it seems that Wheel of Fortune has finally decided to shake things up a bit. (Don’t worry, folks: Pat Sajak and Vanna White, who have helmed the show together since the early 1980s, aren’t going anywhere!)

No, what Wheel producers have in mind is a tad less shocking–but it still dramatically changes the way contestants play the game.

It seems that the show just unveiled a new way of presenting their famous word puzzles. Instead of trying to guess just one word or phrase, they now have to fill out an entire crossword puzzle.

Calling that day’s contestants “guinea pigs” for the change, Sajak introduced the new concept in one of this week’s episodes. Check out how it works!

What do you think? Too hard, or maybe too easy? If you’re a fan of doing crossword puzzles, maybe things just got a whole lot more fun for you!
