Two Strangers Followed Mom and Kids in a Store. The Reason Why Had the Mother in Tears of Joy
This mom thought she was taking her kids on a routine trip to get groceries. But she ended up getting heartfelt praise about her parenting.
As she explained in a touching “Love What Matters” post, she and her two daughters were shopping at Costco while sharing typical mommy-daughter banter about shoveling the snow and the game “I Spy.” After she paid for her groceries, she saw a man and his daughter standing by the exit with an envelope.
They said, “It’s a gift and we would like it if you accepted it. There is a note inside explaining why.”
The little girl asked the mom for a hug, and she accepted. Then, she opened the note when she got back in the car and was immediately in tears of joy.
The note read, “Just listening to you talk to your daughters reminded me of my mother who I lost 2 years ago. I made my dad follow you around for a little so I can hear you guys talk because I wanted to pretend that it was my mom talking to me.”
