I don’t know about you, but when I think back to the happiest summer days of my childhood, the flashing lights and fun of going to the annual state fair always comes to mind. Even though I was never quite adventurous enough to go on the bigger rides, just being surrounded by all the excitement (and fried food) always made me smile no matter how hot it got outside. 

Whether you already hit up your own local amusement this year or are waiting for one to roll back around, the photos below will fill you with all that same nostalgia for summer days spent with friends and family at the fair.
