This black and white beauty went on a 10-month journey with his humans, Cees Cornelis and Madison Elizabeth, to visit all 59 national parks in honor of the 100-year anniversary of the National Park Service.
The couple has amassed over 52,000 Instagram followers thanks to their photos of #vladimirkitten.
He's grown so popular on social media that some followers are concerned when Vladimir isn't the star of his humans' social media. Because National Parks have pet restrictions, Vladimir only goes where he's allowed. Not only is he adorable, but he's also a rule-follower.
"Where's the cat?!?" - The question everyone asks whenever we post a photo without #vladimirkitten many people may not know, but the National Parks in general are very strict about where pets can go. We include Vladimir on as many adventures as possible, but we also follow the rules and only take him where he is allowed. Sometimes he gets to come on awesome trails or in the kayaks, sometimes he gets to check out paved overlooks like this one, and sometimes he stays and guards the RV haha. What are some of your favorite pet-friendly trails or adventures in the National Parks??? 😸Happy #Caturday
Vladimir also has a tiny travel buddy. In April, Cees and Madison welcomed a baby boy, Theo, who's just as adventurous as his furry brother. Here's baby Theo in a Hawaiian jungle.
Being a dad has given me so much perspective already (I honestly don't know if I can keep this pace of learning for Theo's whole life! Haha). *** As we got to the end of our hike, Theo LOST IT. He was totally fine, until he wasn't. We were deep in the Hawaii jungle and he was screaming bloody murder. I broke off from our group and tried to calm the baby dude down. He was hot, tired, and his little life was just HARD. I kept reassuring him that he was going to make it out... that he could trust us to help him through the hard time... that he was BRAVE and STRONG. It was obvious to me that everything was going to be fine - but he was having a hard time seeing that. *** And then it hit me. How many times have I, in my own sweaty jungle of life, freaked the freak out because things were uncomfortable and confusing? We all have those moments when we feel like we just can't hack. But you know what, it ALWAYS works out. Sure, maybe things don't go the exact way we planned, but the end result is always what was meant to be and always what we needed most. So don't let the struggle hang you up! Enjoy the journey and live it to the fullest!!! #memoirsofajungledad
According to their Instagram, the globetrotting family is currently in Bali. It appears Vladimir didn't make the trip, but we're hoping he has more adventures to come.
