You've probably seen the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile in your town or on the road at some point in your life. After all, the iconic vehicle has toured the country for more than 70 years, and let's face it: A 27-foot-long hot dog on wheels is pretty hard to miss. If you're anything like us, you've excitedly pointed it out to whomever you're with and waved to whomever was driving it. But did you know that you could be paid to be a full-time Weinermobile driver yourself?
The "hot dogger" job is a one-year commitment, lasting from June to June. Each year, a new "class" of talented folks learn to drive the six Weinermobile vehicles and then take them to grocery stores, charity functions, and tourist hotspots all over the country. They get the chance to meet people from coast to coast, spreading all the latest news about Oscar Mayer's famous hot dogs — not to mention turning heads wherever they go in those giant vehicles! According to the company, the hot dogger position also boasts a competitive salary, expenses, bonuses, and clothing.
If you or anyone else you know would be interested in this fun and unique work and traveling opportunity, you'll be happy to know that applications for this year's gig are open until January 31. Other than being "outgoing, creative, friendly, enthusiastic," and a college graduate, a hot dogger will also need to be able to pass a full driving test in the Weinermobile if recruited.
Think you have what it takes? Then we suggest wasting no more time and emailing your application for a "job you can relish." Fingers crossed if you apply!
