Playwright Tennessee Williams' iconic play A Streetcar Named Desire was on required reading lists at high schools across America. Or, perhaps, you're more familiar with Marlon Brando and Vivian Leigh's Hollywood version. Even if you've never seen the play or watched the movie, chances are you've heard those four words at least once in your life. But even the most memorable phrases can get jumbled in your brain when you're under pressure. Just ask Kevin, a contestant on the popular game show Wheel of Fortune.
The board read: "A Streetcar Na_ed Desire," and Kevin was one guess away from solving the puzzle. Unfortunately, he guessed the wrong letter, which gave Williams' play a raunchy little twist and cost Kevin $600.
Rather than "M," he went with "K," sending the Internet into meltdown mode and probably producing a few groans from the audience. And even though A Streetcar Naked Desire is a play that might one day exist, it wasn't the right answer. Close, but no cigar.

Even though Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak managed to keep a straight face, the people of the Internet, predictably, lost their minds on Twitter.
Dude on Wheel of Fortune had to solve this:— David Aldridge (@daldridgetnt) March 21, 2017
A STREETCAR NA_ED DESIRE
He asked for a K.
I’m gonna go lie down.
It's OK, Kevin! We all make mistakes.
