Edmond R. Hewlett, DDS, is Professor Emeritus at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he also served as Associate Dean for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. A longtime educator and clinician, he has been teaching at UCLA since 1982, with expertise in restorative dentistry and advanced prosthodontics.
Dr. Hewlett earned both his undergraduate and dental degrees from UCLA, followed by a general practice residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and advanced specialty training in prosthodontics. Widely recognized for his excellence in teaching and service, he has received numerous honors, including multiple “Faculty of the Year” awards, the UCLA Distinguished Faculty Award and national recognition from organizations such as the American Dental Education Association and the National Dental Association.
