Gerome Burke, MD, PhD

Dr. Gerome Burke, Jr. is a medical toxicologist and physician-scientist with more than two decades of experience in toxicology, translational research, regulatory strategy, and preventative medicine. He has worked across pharma, federal research, and clinical settings, including roles at NIH and the Department of Defense. Dr. Burke holds a Ph.D. in Toxicology and Cancer Biology from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and an M.D. from Washington University of Health and Science, along with post-doctoral training at NIH and a healthcare management certification from Johns Hopkins. He currently serves as the Program Director for Research and Reporting at the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.
