Dolly Parton’s Delicious Ice Cream Is Back in Stock — Get It Before It’s Gone Again
Dolly Parton is the queen of many things, and Jeni’s ice cream knows that. So when the hit chain released a special collaboration with Parton last year, it’s no surprise it quickly sold out. If you missed out, don’t fret! Jeni’s is re-releasing the ice cream in honor of Parton’s new novel, and you have to get your hands on this one.
The ice cream flavor is called Strawberry Pretzel Pie, and is inspired by a popular side dish in the south. The dessert-style dish, knowns as strawberry pretzel pie or strawberry pretzel salad, features a salty pretzel crust and a layer of cream cheese filling, topped with strawberry jello and fresh strawberries. Now, I’ve never tried it, but it sure sounds like the perfect dessert.
With Parton’s help, Jeni’s turned the dish into an ice cream (Pre-order on jenis.com, $12), and their description is seriously making my mouth water. “A throwback to the triple decker pie from the potlucks of our youths. Layers of salty pretzel streusel, subtly sweet and effortlessly tangy cream cheese ice cream, and lipstick red strawberry sauce,” the website reads.
Even sweeter? The proceeds benefit Parton’s Imagination Library, which gives free books to children under five years old nationwide. We love a collaboration that tastes good and does good, too!
The re-upped collaboration comes as Parton releases her first novel and accompanying album, both titled Run, Rose, Run. Jeni’s is celebrating Parton’s latest accomplishment by also releasing a special song on on the album, only available through their website. Delicious ice cream and new music from the country queen? That’s what I call a dream combo.
To get a pint of this special Dolly Parton ice cream flavor and the exclusive song, head to www.jenis.com/dolly. You can preorder the flavor now before it starts shipping in April — just in time for spring!
