Joan Collins’ Beauty Secret Is a Skin Cream You Can Find at Any Pharmacy
Forget Crème de la Mer or Sisley — when it comes to her skincare routine, actress Joan Collins prefers a more affordable option. In an 2017 interview with Time Out, the 85-year-old revealed that she has always kept her skin looking fresh with the help of Nivea brand products.
“I have used a Nivea cleanser for as long as I can remember,” the actress and author told the magazine. It seems you don’t need to splurge on expensive products or complicated routines to keep your skin looking great in your 80s.
While Collins did not specify which exact Nivea cleanser she relies on, the brand’s classic cleanser is the Nivea Daily Essentials 2-in-1 Cleanser and Toner ($9.51, Amazon). Suitable for both normal and combination skin, this hero product is enriched with lotus extract and vitamins that work to both cleanse and tone the skin.
Considering her superior skincare knowledge (the style icon has her own beauty brand, Timeless Beauty) and her ability to buy any cleanser on the market, the fact that she chose to use Nivea is telling. Of rouce, it isn’t just the contents of her bathroom that keeps Collins looking youthful: She also follows a skin-nourishing diet. In a 2015 interview with The Telegraph, Collins revealed that she eats a whole avocado every day. We applaud her efforts at staying healthy and looking gorgeous!
