Country superstar Miranda Lambert has sung about heartbreak, betrayal and divorce, but both of those things start with falling in love—and she’s captured that feeling through her music as well. The 42-year-old “Gunpowder & Lead” singer has been in the public eye for years, and in addition to being recognized for her musical talent, she’s unfortunately had her personal life and romantic relationships unfold in the spotlight. Miranda is now married to Brendan McLoughlin, a former NYPD officer whom she tied the knot with in 2019, but before she could find her forever, she had to endure a few heartbreaks. Here, take a look back at Miranda Lambert’s most notable relationships.

Miranda Lambert and Jeff McManus

Before Miranda’s big break, she was linked to fellow country musician Jeff McManus until around 2005. Miranda and Jeff were together for about three years before she met Blake Shelton, whom she would go on to marry.

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton met in 2005, but the duo didn’t start dating until 2006, as Blake was still married to his first wife, Kaynette Williams. After several years together, the duo got married in 2011. During their time together, they collaborated musically and were one of country music’s power couples, but by 2015, they went their separate ways. In a 2015 interview with Cosmopolitan, Miranda got candid about their split, saying, “I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is. I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted.”

Later in 2015, Miranda began dating musician Anderson East. Miranda and Anderson were together until 2018 and over those years, collaborated musically and made several public appearances side-by-side.

Miranda Lambert and Evan Felker

In 2018, Miranda was spotted cozying up with Evan Felker, the frontman of the Turnpike Troubadours, who she was touring with. Their relationship didn’t last too long, but Miranda opened up that same year in conversation with The Tennessean. “Love is a hard road sometimes and it’s been a roller-coaster ride for me, but I’m definitely thankful for all the ups and downs because I’ve had some really good songs come out of it,” she shared. “You’ve got to take the bad parts and put them on paper and then move on to the happy parts.”

In 2018, Miranda met her now-husband, Brendan, during an appearance on Good Morning America while he was working security. Sparks quickly flew and in 2019, they tied the knot. Earlier this year, the couple celebrated seven years together, and Miranda has gotten candid about their connection.

“Brendan is so supportive. I’m so lucky to have him as my husband,” she told Cowgirl Magazine. “We’re kindred spirits, even though we’re from different parts of the country. I feel like I have such a strong support system with him, and he also tells me the truth. You know, it’s like having somebody at home who can bring you back to earth and really tell it to you straight, even if it’s sometimes hard to hear. I’m so thankful that he’s willing to come on this journey with me, and this adventure, but also be a grounding spot and a home for me.”
