Is there anything more surprising than a celebrity caught doing ordinary things? Well, maybe it’s a rock and roll star snapped in the act of doing a household chore–and looking like he’s having a blast.

That’s why we love this photo of Paul McCartney–a few decades before he became Sir Paul–having fun as he dries the dishware. We tend to doubt that he did housework often. (Otherwise, would he be smiling?) But he does look like he knows his way around a dishtowel–and kudos to him for drying the inside of the glass, not just the outside.

Of course, his dishwashing partner looks equally gleeful. And it turns out to be the King of Pop himself–Michael Jackson.

This picture must have been taken around the early 1980s, when the two were collaborating on “Say Say Say.” Brings back memories, right?
