Silver Foxes In Their 70s Who Still Make Us Swoon: Kurt Russell to Kevin Costner
We loved them then and we love them now!
When they first rose to fame, these young studs stole our hearts, whether with their style and charm as the leading men of television or through the lyrics of our favorite songs. Over the years, we’ve grown up with stars like Ted Danson, Kurt Russell, Kevin Costner and Bruce Springsteen watching as they became not only more legendary but more attractive. Catch up with these silver foxes who we still haven’t stopped swooning over (and probably won’t anytime soon).
Ted Danson

It goes without saying that everyone who tuned into Cheers on a weekly basis in the 1980s was enchanted by the magnetism of Ted Danson’s smile and his charming demeanor (and that hair, of course). For 11 years, the actor had fans laughing their heads off while simultaneously wishing Sam Malone was a real person. Despite the character’s womanizing ways, anyone who enjoyed Cheers knew there was more to the character than his devilish personality and good looks.
Years later and here we are still obsessing over him in his silver fox era, as he walks the red carpet with wife Mary Steenburgen and continues to impress everyone in shows like The Good Place, Curb Your Enthusiasm and A Man on the Inside. It’s unlikely that our obsession with Ted Danson will ever die, especially when he still has that smile.
Sylvester Stallone

There’s nothing quite like a young Sylvester Stallone getting into the ring as the underdog in Rocky and as you could guess, there’s nothing quite like the silver fox version of Stallone either. While we loved the actor in his prime during the Rocky films, we might love him even more as he ages, walking the red carpet with his wife and children.
Kurt Russell

Everybody has obsessed over the love between Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn ever since they got together in the 1980s, but it’s definitely fair to say that Russell himself has a lot to do with that. The lovable actor has been bringing authentic characters to life for decades, but it’s also his on-screen presence (and looks) that have made us love him for just as long.
And if it’s not his acting you adore him for, maybe it’s his stint in minor league baseball (yes, he’s an athlete, too) or his time in the California Air National Guard. Either way, the Hollywood Icon has drawn a devoted fanbase, and it may or may not have to do with his incredible hair, whether it’s dark brown or silver.
Kevin Costner

Today, everyone is obsessed with the cowboy version of Kevin Costner in his lead role on Yellowstone, but we’ve been following the actor for years. Costner first took our breath away when he starred in movies like The Untouchables (1987), Field of Dreams (1989) and, of course, The Bodyguard (1992), when Costner’s character carries Whitney Houston away from a dangerous situation. Now, the silver fox is taking on different roles, but he is still stealing our hearts, whether he’s starring in a western or a romance film.
Bruce Springsteen

Back in 1975, when Bruce Springsteen released his third studio album, Born to Run, it was kind of difficult not to fall in love with the budding rockstar, especially after seeing his energetic stage performances and listening to his poetic lyrics. And we can’t forget the other factor of Springsteen’s classic All-American style: leather jackets, denim and a bandana.
And now, at age 75, we still can’t get enough of the rockstar. We might actually be even more obsessed with Springsteen now in his silver fox era, if that’s even possible.
Pierce Brosnan

We love the silver-haired actor today in films and series like MobLand and The King of Kings. And when he became one-third of potential love interests for Meryl Streep’s character in Mamma Mia!, we fell even harder for him. But our adoration for the actor began back in the 1990s when Pierce Brosnan took on the coveted role of James Bond in the 1995 film, GoldenEye.
He later reprised the role in three more films—Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002)—but Brosnan has continued to have a hold on our hearts, even now.
