It’s safe to say that no one does the holiday season quite like the Hallmark Channel, and over the last few years, the films that make up their holiday lineup have expanded to tell all kinds of stories. This season, we’ve been anxiously anticipating two films straying from their typical Christmas roster: Leah’s Perfect Gift, which premiered on Sunday, December 8 (see showtimes on the Hallmark Channel here), and Hanukkah on the Rocks, which premiered on Friday, December 13 (see showtimes on the Hallmark Channel here or stream on Peacock). Hitched for the Holidays (2012)

Two single New Yorkers who are anything but excited about their overbearing families meddling in their love lives team up during the holidays in a fake dating ruse that will hopefully keep their loved ones at bay. Though it ends up being slightly more complicated than they anticipated with Julie being Jewish and Rob being Catholic, their fictional romance might turn into something more serious. 

Double Holiday (2019)

Rebecca is forced to work alongside her office nemesis to plan her company’s annual Christmas party right as Hanukkah is beginning. With a promotion opportunity lingering, she must balance celebrating the holiday and honoring her family’s traditions while accomplishing this career task with major implications for her future. As she and her colleague Chris spend more time with one another outside of work, sparks start to fly. 

Holiday Date (2019)

When Brooke is dumped right before the holidays, she’s fearful of returning home and facing her family. With that in mind, she enlists the help of an actor named Joel to accompany her and act as the boyfriend she’s been speaking so highly of. However, Joel is Jewish and Brooke’s ex-boyfriend has a reputation for being “Mr. Christmas.” When her family learns of Joel’s Jewish background, they attempt to celebrate both holidays in a way that is certainly memorable. Love, Lights, Hanukkah! (2020)

Right before Christmas, a woman’s DNA test reveals that she’s actually Jewish, leading to a Hanukkah season full of new traditions, new faces and discovering a new part of herself she didn’t know existed. See showtimes on the network here.

On the first night of Hanukkah, a woman named Sara begins receiving a series of gifts from an anonymous sender. As each night goes on, she works to uncover the clues and discover the identity of her admirer. 

Hanukkah on Rye (2022)

When two rival deli owners are connected via a matchmaker, they begin falling for one another as they correspond under pseudonyms and through handwritten letters. Will the eventual discovery of their true identities destroy the romance that has been brewing? See showtimes on the network here

Round and Round (2023)

On the seventh night of Hanukkah, Rachel finds herself reliving the same day over and over again, and the one person who might be able to help her is the man her grandmother was trying to introduce her to at her family’s annual Hanukkah party. See showtimes on the network here

A Jewish woman spends Christmas with her boyfriend’s family and comes to see that it’s far from what she had expected.

Hanukkah on the Rocks (2024)

Laid off from her job, a woman begins bartending at a local spot where she connects with a man and his grandfather during Hanukkah.
