Watch the Jaw-Dropping Reason Everyone at This High School Basketball Game Is Going Nuts
We confess: The video from this high school’s final basketball game of the season is so utterly heartwarming that we had trouble writing this through our tears (really!).
For the past few years, special needs student Jason McElwain has been both the manager and the heart and soul of his school’s basketball team, the Athena Greece High Trojans, in Rochester, NY.
For the last game of the year, Coach Jim Johnson wanted to give McElwain the chance to do something he’d never done before: Suit up and play.
With the support of his cheering fans, McElwain gets onto the court and tries for a few baskets, which are misses. But then something unbelievable happens–shocking the crowd, and causing everyone to jump out of their seats at the final buzzer. Don’t be too surprised if you leap out of your chair in celebration, too.
