Get a Sneak Peek Inside the Modern-Day “RMS Titanic” Replica That Will Set Sail Soon

A replica of the Titanic built by an Australian billionaire and politician, Clive Palmer, is set to sail in 2018. Its maiden voyage will be from Jiangsu, China, to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Photos of the replica show it looking eerily similar to the original, the interior of which audiences became familiar with after the hit 1997 movie. Who could forget the grand staircase in first class?

Just like the original, the Titanic II will offer first, second and third-class tickets. "Steerage" passengers will eat their meals at long dining tables.

Here's the first class dining room, which spanned the width of the ship. In the movie, it's the place where Jack gives a speech about "making each day count" while he dines with Rose and her family.

The well-appointed luxury first class state rooms will include four poster beds and sitting areas, just like the original ship.

The Cafe Parisienne was another eating area in first class that included white wicker chairs and plenty of windows overlooking the view.

A men's only smoking parlor is nearly identical to the one in the original ship, which famously sunk in 1912. (Movie buffs: Remember that clock on the mantle sliding as the ship went down?)

Titanic was one of the first ships to have a swimming pool and Turkish baths complex on board. Clean water was pumped in from the open ocean and heated.
