Sadly, 64 years later, we still haven’t been able to find a real-life place that makes us feel like Tiffany’s, but we have been able to find several behind-the-scenes photos of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The film, released in 1961, follows a New York City call girl named Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) as she falls in love with her new upstairs neighbor, Paul Varjack (George Peppard). It’s based on the bestselling novel written by Truman Capote and earned several Academy Award nominations. Keep scrolling to see rare behind-the-scenes photos that are just as glitzy and glamorous as any Hepburn fan would hope.

Since the movie opens with Holly standing outside the Fifth Avenue Tiffany and Co., it makes total sense that stars Hepburn and Peppard did so as well! Maybe it helped them get into character, or maybe it was just for fun? We wish we knew!

Sit back, relax and enjoy this photo of Hepburn enjoying a snack on the set and lounging around. We have to admit, even while doing this, the actress looks better than we do, basically on any other day.

It’s no secret that actors and actresses have to learn their lines, and seeing Hepburn doing so puts a smile on our faces. If only we could see what she wrote in her script, though. Now that would be a behind-the-scenes secret.

One of the most iconic pieces of furniture in the film was Holly’s bathtub couch, and seeing Hepburn and Peppard sitting on it, smoking and talking, truly shows how much fun they had on set. Following the film’s release, the two remained close friends until Hepburn’s death in 1993. She was 63.

In the film, Holly has an orange cat named Cat because she doesn’t think it’s her place to give him a proper name. As time goes on, though, viewers see Holly bond with Cat, and by the end, the two are best friends—and based on the photo, it seems like Hepburn and the actor cat were the exact same way! Plus, the champagne glasses filled with milk and alcohol? Talk about cute!

While Hepburn’s first name might not be Tiffany, she definitely is the unofficial queen of the jewelry store. In fact, the actress currently has an entire section of the Fifth Avenue store dedicated to her, which is totally fitting for a queen.

Hepburn’s rendition of “Moon River” is one of the most beautiful parts of the film. Not only does she sing, but she also plays the guitar. Now, in this rare behind-the-scenes photo, we can see the actress sitting on the stoop where the scene was filmed. We just wish it were a video so we could hear her practicing!

Standing all alone in a nice outfit, with nothing but a cigarette and a bottle of wine, isn’t that uncommon for New Yorkers, and that’s true for Hepburn as well! Here she can be seen hanging out on set, looking fabulous in one of her costumes.
