Even at 92, Queen Elizabeth doesn’t seem keen to give up her spot on the royal throne any time soon. As the longest reigning monarch in British history, she has worn the crown for more than 60 years. As much as we love to see her continue that reign for as long as possible, the reality is that one of her heirs will eventually have to take her place.

Plus, with all the royal baby news from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — and all three of Prince William’s adorable children — you might be wondering where exactly each member of the royal family sits in the line to the throne. Until recently, it hasn’t been quite as simple as keeping track of which child happened to be born first. You might be surprised by how far down Prince Harry is on the list, or how close newlywed Princess Eugenie and her sister Beatrice actually are to the throne.

For a quick reminder, Queen Elizabeth has four children of her own: Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward. Each of those siblings has provided royal grandchildren for the queen — and now those royals are adding great-grandchildren to the list. You can see how things might get a little complicated with a family that big! It’s even more fascinating when you consider how Elizabeth wasn’t even supposed to be in line herself before her uncle abdicated the throne and her father, King George VI, took his place.

Take a look below to see who’s next in line for the British throne after Queen Elizabeth.
