Kate Middleton Spotted Shopping at a Local Supermarket With Her Children
Kate Middleton and Prince William look to be keeping a low profile at the moment as the world takes measures against the Coronavirus outbreak, but it seems even the royals are still keen to stock up on the necessities from local supermarkets.
In an unexpected moment, a regular grocery shopper and royal fan alike bumped into Kate Middleton and her three children, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis, during a routine Sainsbury’s visit in Norfolk.
But before you ask, Kate, who is well accustomed to having her picture taken ten miles to the dozen, had one small request of the exciting royal fan.
Taking to Twitter, well-know amateur royal snapper Karen Anvil, who famously captured the now-iconic photo of the Fab Four on Christmas Day in 2017, revealed the news, stating: “The lady who made the doll for #PrincessCharlotte at Xmas was in #Sainsbury’s today and was stood next to #DuchessofCambridge and the three children! She phoned me and I swear I thought she was gonna have a heart attack she was that excited!”
Indeed the woman’s excitement to run into the royals was undeniable – Karen and her acquaintance gave Princess Charlotte a very special doll just a few months ago during the royal’s annual Christmas Day walkabout at Sandringham.
The woman at the Sainsbury’s in question also added: “I can assure you it was #TheDuchessofCambridge, I spoke with her security.
“But perhaps to her disappointment, she was unable to take photos.
“They asked me not to take photos. I almost died. And I also told the security that It was me who made the doll. I understand your skepticism but I promise you it happened. Xx,” she wrote on Twitter.
The exciting run-in was no doubt one that the woman will remember for a long time coming — but it’s not the first time Kate has surprised fans in ordinary places like supermarkets before.
In fact, just last year Kate was seen Halloween shopping at Sainsbury’s with her children.
Royal blogger @TeaTimeWithTheCambridges confirmed the news, writing: “It was lovely to see her just being a normal mum shopping with her kids… I love how she just goes about her normal life, she is so down to earth.”
Ever since she became a royal, Kate has continued to lead as normal a life as possible, often seen shopping around at her local Waitrose while her family stays in their country residence Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
In November, Kate reportedly also sneaked into a Chelsea pub alongside fellow school parents for a casual drinks event.
Of course, you’d have to wonder how someone with a famous profile like Kate’s could sneak into a pub in a bustling area without being noticed – but it seems she employed a rather smart technique.
The pub, it appears, had a secret entrance for her – allowing her to enjoy the evening away from the gaze of lenses.
Kate and William have no pre-planned engagements over the coming weeks, which suggests the pair are laying low and practicing a form of isolation with their children in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak.
And if the latest report is anything to go by, we’re glad to hear they’re spending time at their country home — the perfect place to escape the gaze of the world during a time of uncertainty.
