Tamera Mowry-Housley first captured hearts by starring with her sister Tia in the beloved sitcom Sister, Sister. Since those early days, the 46-year-old actress has built an extremely successful career for herself. In addition to her acting career, Tamera is an Emmy-winning talk show host, NAACP Image Award recipient, and co-owner of a winery with her husband. Continuing her successful acting career, Tamera stars in one of Hallmark’s latest movies, Scouting for Christmas, which premiered on October 20.
“I’m grateful to be a ‘Hallmark queen,’ as they call me now,” she told Parade back in 2022. “Those movies are just so beautiful. The stories are so awesome and just wonderful. I get to work with amazing talent and I get to hone my acting. I still get to work and I am extremely grateful to be a working actress.”

The actress stars in this Hallmark film as an astrophysicist dissatisfied with the state of her career. When she returns home for the holidays and attends her local Christmas carnival, after a ride on the carousel, she steps off to find herself transported to five years earlier, allowing her to see her path in a different light. The film also stars Michael Xavier and Sheryl Lee Ralph.
