Dolly Parton Just Lost Her ‘Mr. Everything’
So sad! Dolly Parton is mourning the loss of a beloved friend. Don Warden, the man she called “Mr. Everything” and her longtime manager, died March 11. He was 87.
Warden was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in 2008. He was also a founding member of the Porter Wagoner Trio, and it was on The Porter Wagoner Show where he met Dolly Parton in 1967. The two worked together for more than 50 years, but more than that, Warden was a dear friend of Parton.
“A huge piece of my life is gone. Rest in peace, Don, and know for sure that I will always love you,” the star tweeted.

Parton, 71, released a longer statement on her website: “I’ve known and loved Don Warden since I joined The Porter Wagoner Show in 1967. He was like a father, a brother, a partner and one of my best friends. I feel like a piece of my heart is missing today. Certainly a huge piece of my life is gone. Rest in peace, Don, and know for sure that I will always love you.”
