12 Beauty Products That Will Get You Excited About the Changing of the Seasons

We get it — it’s hard to say goodbye to summer, with its glorious weather and bright sunshine and all, but fall has its perks, too. Sure, there’s the amazing autumn recipes and the fun, costume-filled holidays, but there’s also plenty to look forward to in the autumn beauty department. From pumpkin masks and apple cider bath gel to marshmallow scrubs and leaf-scented hand wash, the best fall beauty products not only smell divine, they work.

While some companies think outside the box to offer up limited edition products that fit the seasonal theme, like Tree Hut with its limited-edition Marshmallow Lodge sugar scrub ($8.99, Ulta), some of the biggest brands in the business are getting in on the fall fun simply by using one of the most buzzy ingredients on the market today: pumpkin.

Natural beauty expert Paige Padgett told Woman’s World that this powerhouse fruit is a no-brainer when it comes to skincare. “[It’s] packed with antioxidants that brighten skin, plus enzymes that rev collagen production to ward off fine lines,” she said.

According to New York dermatologist, Patricia Wexler, M.D., who spoke with Woman’s Health in 2015, it’s also got “… alpha hydroxy acids [AHAs] that increase cell turnover [to] brighten and smooth skin.”

Needless to say, that makes it a mighty attractive ingredient for skincare products, regardless of season.

Pumpkin’s burnt orange hue also just so happens to make for a beautiful makeup palette hue — just ask Too Faced, who created a brand new 16-piece eyeshadow kit ($49, HSN) based around it. Not only does it look positively stunning, it’s actually scented like a pumpkin, too!
