7 Patriotic Memorial Day Wreaths That Are Easy to Make and Even Easier to Admire

Tags:

On the last Monday in May, we celebrate and honor the men and women who died while serving their country. Memorial Day this year falls on May 28, which means you still have time to make a DIY Memorial Day wreath. What better way to express your gratitude and proudly show your support for our servicemen and women than with a beautiful red, white, and blue Memorial Day door wreath? There are so many Memorial Day wreath ideas that you might have a hard time picking just one.

The first thing to consider when making wreaths for Memorial Day is what materials you want to use. One option is flowers; red poppies are traditionally worn on this holiday, so they’re an obvious choice. You can also opt for fake flowers if you want to enjoy your wreath for as long as possible, but could also use mesh, burlap, clothespins, ties, or even Legos as wreath-building materials.

If you’re all about maximizing an item’s use (not to mention saving storage space!), you can recycle your Memorial Day wreaths for Fourth of July celebrations, too. But if we’re being totally honest, we think you could get away with hanging one of these Memorial Day wreaths up year-round — they’re that beautiful!
