Santa Claus’ House Is a Winter Wonderland, and It Comes With a Hot Cocoa Tap

From the outside, Santa Claus' log cabin looks like a quaint, cozy winter wonderland. Judging by the wooden signs outside his door, the toy shop is within walking distance, as are the stables where up to nine reindeer can live — how convenient!

Santa's 2,500-square-foot home is situated on 25 acres and was built in the 1800s, though it was recently renovated in 2013. On Santa's property, there is also garage space for his all-weather sleigh. All together, his home is valued at $710,559, according to Zillow.

Inside Santa's house is a statement-making fireplace. Above the mantle, which is festively decorated with garland and what look like holly berries, hangs a flat-screen TV. Of course, the 1948 version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is playing!

At Santa's house, it looks like it's Christmas year-round. You'd think Old St. Nick would be sick of cookies by now, but in addition to the batch of chocolate chip cookies cooling on a rack, there's also some sitting in a jar. Santa Claus' favorite food must be cookies because he even has a few balls of dough laid out, ready to be popped in the oven.

According to Zillow, Santa's oven has 12 different cookie settings — 12! Who knew there were even that many different ways to bake a cookie?

On second thought, maybe Santa really doesn't like sweets that much. If you look closely, you can see him through the open sliding glass door. If you ask us, it looks like he's running away from the possibility of having to eat one more wafer.

That said, one thing that would keep us in this kitchen 24/7 is the fact that hot cocoa is on tap. Give us a bag of mini marshmallows and we'll be all set for the winter.

In Santa and Mrs. Claus' bedroom, the Christmas theme continues. The large windows show off the white, wintry beauty of the North Pole, but they have us thinking: If Santa sees us when we're sleeping, who watches Santa?

Like any man with a business to run, Santa needs a a workplace. We're assuming this is the very desk where he reads all the Christmas letters he receives from good little (and not-so-little) girls and boys. He probably uses that exact typewriter to respond to our wish lists!

Nearby is the Elf Village, which features an adorable array of tiny houses. This type of housing is becoming more popular as it provides homeowners with a low-cost, low-maintenance property, but it leaves us wondering whether the elves in the village are miniature or the size of full-grown men.

The first house on the right is painted a cool slate blue. Judging by the relaxing scene of black boots next to a rocking chair on the front porch, Santa's elves are totally used to the North Pole's cold temperatures. We don't know how long we'd be able to sit on a blustery winter morning, but the elves seem to be completely unbothered.

Inside is a small kitchen area, though there is plenty of room for a party of six to eat comfortably. These tables are probably full the day after Christmas, when the elves finally get a day off to relax and enjoy themselves.

Up above, there's a small loft area, which is big enough to fit a bed and night stand. How cozy!

Next up is what appears to be an elf-sized man cave. When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by a set of wooden stairs. Down below it looks like the elves have set up a mini bar and living room area. After a long day of making toys, we wouldn't blame them for wanting to sip some eggnog in peace.

Similar to the layout of the first tiny house, this one also features a loft area. We aren't fans of the idea of having to climb up and down stairs multiple times a day, but we have to admit that these homes are roomier than we expected.

And last but not least is this elf house which, in our opinion, has some pretty funky designs. Circle and square windows are paired with bamboo accents and dark-gray painted wood. Overall, this house is definitely an interesting one.

At first glance, this Asian-inspired abode feels very calming. This is the only house which isn't overly Christmas-themed, which is refreshing to look at. Lots of straw mats and bright colors make this home feel simple, homey, and inviting.

Apparently, the elves have a bit of a green thumb. This cute little bonsai tree — which has been decorated with tiny ornaments — is the perfect stress reliever after a stressful holiday season.

Unlike the other two buildings, sleep quarters are essentially only a raised platform that can fit a mattress. Because of the lack of a real "loft" in this home, it means more ceiling space and ultimately the feeling of being in a bigger room.
