Onlookers See “Pathway to Heaven” After Tragic Car Crash

Tags:

The family members of the victims in a fatal car crash are finding solace after a passerby sent them a photo of the accident that the families believe shows a sign from God.

On her way to work, Anisa Gannon, 19, spotted the accident. While sitting in the resulting traffic, she snapped a photo to show her boss in case she needed proof to explain why she was late. On first glance, Anisa didn’t see anything special when she looked at the photo. But that all changed when she showed it to her aunt, Tara Gannon Noble.

“Anisa showed it to me and I said ‘Oh my gosh, look at that photo,'” she told Good Housekeeping.com. According to Anisa, her aunt said the strange beam of light looked like a “pathway to heaven.” Does that not just give you the chills?

Noble, Anisa’s aunt, was so moved by the photo that after some back-and-forth she finally decided to share the snapshot with the family members of the crash victims. “I just wanted to give them some peace,” Noble told PEOPLE.

The mother of one of the crash victims has a printout of Anisa’s photo sitting on her television set. “I just needed something to show me that they were in Heaven and that they were OK,” said Judy Simmons, who lost her daughter Hannah Simmons, 23, and granddaughter, 9-month-old A’Lannah, in the crash. “And that was my confirmation.”

“Nothing’s ever going to be the same, my heart’s broken and I miss them daily,” said Simmons. “If it wasn’t for the picture, I don’t know, it made it a whole lot better for me.”

The mother of the third crash victim, Lauren Butea, said “[the photo] gave me a peace that was indescribable.”

“I’m glad the photo brought them peace,” Noble said.

Amen! Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims; we can’t imagine the pain they’re going through.
