For those who aren’t familiar with the show or who need a bit of a refresher, The Golden Girls was about four older women living as roommates in Miami. There’s Blanche, the man-hungry Southern belle; Dorothy, the sarcastic and cynical substitute teacher; Rose, the not-so-bright one with hilarious stories about her hometown, St. Olaf; and Sophia, Dorothy’s mom, who comes to live with the trio when her nursing home burns down. Together, the foursome get up to some side-splitting antics — and eat a lot of cheesecake.

It’s nearly impossible to pick a favorite moment because the TV show gifted us with so many quotable scenes — not to mention The Golden Girls theme song, which is incredibly catchy. Though Rose, who was played by Betty White, wasn't the brightest roommate, her big heart made her endearing to audiences.

Despite her sarcasm, Dorothy's banter never felt truly mean. Alongside Rose's ditziness and Blanche's obsession with men, Dorothy's cutting wit certainly kept the show grounded.
