What This Dog Does to Encourage Its Baby Friend to Keep Crawling Is SO Sweet
Learning to crawl is tough stuff. You’ve got to lift your belly off the ground, steady yourself with your hands, and move your bent legs all at once. And you’re expected to be mobile mere weeks after you learned you had legs in the first place! Perhaps the grown dog in this clip remembers its own struggle because it’s filled with compassion for the semi-stationery tot in front of it.
The pooch stares at the baby lovingly, remaining perfectly still, possibly because it’s hoping its presence will urge the baby forward. When the baby falls back on its tummy, that’s when the magic happens. Rather than let the tyke get discouraged, the kind-hearted canine gently kisses the baby’s face, as if to say, “You’re doing great! Keep at it!” Though the camera cuts right after, we imagine the cute crawler lurched forward, spurred by the motivational licks, and is moving all around the house now.
