Gift Festive ‘Frosted’ Vases
Whiteaker is a huge fan of Dollar Tree, whose glass cylinders inspired these winter wonderland vases. To make your own, use painter’s tape ($6.29, Amazon) to create horizontal stripes on your vase, then, with a stencil brush, dab on faux snow (Snow Tex ($4.49, Michael’s). “The frosted white snow effect against the clear vases allows you to pair them with any accent color, making them easy to customize for anyone on your gift list,” says Whiteaker. “I bought all the fillers at the Dollar Tree too.”

Wow Guests With a Candy Cane Bouquet
Tired of overspending on holiday flower arrangements, Soukup made her own “statement bouquet” using candy canes! “I hotglued 28 candy canes [$12.40, Amazon] around a 15-ounce aluminum can,” she says. “Then I wrapped a scrap ribbon and a matching bow around the candy canes and filled the vase with faux poinsettias [$12.89, Amazon] — so cute!”

Add Glitz to Your Mantel With Silver Spoon Spruces
Who needs a white Christmas when you can have a silver one? To create these sparkling saplings from Rattlef, paint Styrofoam trees ($10.99, Amazon) with silver craft paint ($2.99, Michael’s), then glue on silver plastic spoons ($7.99, Amazon) Rattlef decorated one tree with the spoons and a second with the handles. “I glued them to dollar store candle holders — gorgeous and cheap!” she proclaims.

Light Up Your Home With Glowing Luminaries
To create “merry Mason jars,” just fill with ornaments, pine cones, and faux greenery. Or follow the lead of Formaro, who rimmed hers with lace and a bit of faux snow. “I sprinkled Epsom salts ($7.49, Amazon) about an inch deep and added candles. They’ll look beautiful lining your walkway!”

Enjoy a Sweet Cookie Cutter Centerpiece
“Even ‘non-ornaments’ like your grandmother’s cookie cutters make lovely decorations,” says Richter. “Just tie them together with ribbon to form a circle, then place dollar store candles in the middle for an inexpensive-yet-meaningful centerpiece.”
